Our lot on the corner of Fayette and Almond Street is under contract with a developer proposing to build a 7 story, 291 unit apartment building. The total cost for the development currently sits over $129 million. Plans would have the building wrap around a church and XO Taco restaurant and include a parking garage. The plans also include demolishing three structures: a former service station, car wash and an office building. Mayor Ben Walsh touted the developers proposal during his State of the City address in January as a sign of the city’s progress and potential in developing much-needed housing.
